Writer + Journalist
Maria Prudente is a writer and journalist in New York City.
In December of 2021, she broke the story of a third woman accusing actor Chris Noth of sexual assault in The Daily Beast.
Maria has written about feminist ethics as part of the #metoo movement and the George Floyd protests in her poetry. Other essays and poetry have appeared in Litro Magazine US, Prometheus Dreaming, and Cathexis Northwest Press. She spoke as a guest poet at the 2021 NYC Poetry Festival headlined by Terrance Hayes and won the non-fiction prize for Quarto Magazine’s 2021 spring issue.
She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia University and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Cultural Reporting and Criticism at New York University.
